Robert M. Faiss founded United Electrical Services in 1985 when Northern Nevada needed electrical contractors willing to commit to both residential and commercial markets. Reno and Sparks were growing fast. Carson City was expanding as the state capital. The gaming and tourism industries were pulling in development money. Robert saw a gap: dependable, licensed electrical work done by people who actually lived in the community. That gap became United Electrical Services.

What started as a small service company has grown into one of Northern Nevada’s most trusted electrical contractors — still family-owned, still based in Minden, Nevada, still doing the work personally. Our team now carries over 200 combined years of field experience across residential, commercial, and security installations.
